If you are experiencing issues with your NymVPN connection, please follow the steps below to attempt to troubleshoot your issue.
Step 1: Update NymVPN to the latest version
Make sure that you are in the latest version of NymVPN, you can check this on the NymVPN Download page.
Step 2: Ensure No Other VPNs Are Running
Check that no other VPN services are running on your system. Multiple VPNs can conflict with each other and cause connection issues.
Step 3: Restart Your Modem/Router/Wi-Fi and/or device
A simple restart can often resolve connection issues.
Step 4: Reinstall NymVPN
Uninstall and then install NymVPN in your device.
Step 5: Check Your Device for Updates
Ensure your device's operating system and NymVPN are up to date:
- Windows/Mac: Check for system updates in the settings menu.
- Linux: Use your package manager to update the system.
- NymVPN: Open NymVPN and check if you are in the latest version.
Step 6: Connect to other entry/exit locations
Try connecting to a different entry/exit locations in NymVPN.
Step 7: Add an exception for VPN in your antivirus software
If you are using an antivirus software, it may be blocking your VPN connection. Add NymVPN as an exception.
