What is WireGuard?

WireGuard is an open-source VPN protocol initially developed by Jason Donenfeld and released in 2015. It is known for being modern, fast, robust, and lightweight—making it ideal for our Fast mode in the NymVPN app.

Now compatible with all major operating systems and devices, WireGuard has been widely adopted by many VPN services to help protect users’ data and privacy.
